Dr. Devasahayam received her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, in Iowa City, IA. She completed her General Surgery residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, GA. Dr. Devasahayam completed her trauma surgery and surgical critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Dr. Devasahayam is a Trauma, Acute Care, and Surgical Critical Care surgeon at Sanford Medical Center Fargo, an ACS verified Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Dr. Devasahayam is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army reserves with combat trauma experience in austere environments. She loves whole blood and only uses crystalloids to keep her pasta salty.
